CORE had arranged to sponsor an upcoming rugby Super League fixture taking place in West Yorkshire between Wakefield Trinity and Castleford Tigers. CORE would be the match ball sponsor for the game. They wanted us to design a special social media post to promote this event online on their social media accounts to boost awareness of the event and promote their brand.
We discussed different ideas for the post and presented CORE with several different options. They expressed most interest in an animated advert design in GIF format and requested that we create a branded promotional GIF design to advertise their sponsorship of the game.
Following our brief, we spent time experimenting with various layout and design ideas and images that we thought would be a good fit for an animated advert promoting CORE’s Match Ball sponsorship.
We placed the CORE logo prominently to the top right and included the club logos for Wakefield Trinity and Castleford Tigers. We sourced rugby themed images and created a standout moving graphic rugby player and rugby ball, underlying the text, and giving the design a dynamic effect. We used an eye-catching, flashing text effect to highlight the phrase ‘Match Ball Sponsor’ to draw attention to the key message and make it more animated and memorable. We shared a version of the GIF design with CORE for their feedback and incorporated minor changes to the layout before we submitted the final GIF design.
